Lindsay Financial Company History

Lindsay Financial was founded in 1990 when Bruce Lindsay decided to move to the West Coast after running a successful financial practice in Montreal.

As Bruce explains, starting a brand new practice from scratch wasn't easy. But it offered significant advantages. Among these was the ability to develop an independent outlook. As an independent advisory firm, Lindsay Financial could offer a variety of products and services to clients. Instead of choosing "off the shelf" products pushed by the product manufacturers, Lindsay Financial had the freedom to choose what was best for the client.

Just as importantly, the first-hand experience of owning and running a successful business gave Bruce a tremendous insight into the challenges facing other business owners. Naturally, this made it easier to understand the challenges other business owners were facing.

It wasn't long before Lindsay Financial built up a significant base of clients. At our peak, we served over 400 client families. With the trust and confidence we developed with our clients, they wanted us to handle more and more of their overall financial requirements. As a result, the company decided to become more focused, and offered integrated planning services to those clients who could best benefit from the lifestyle-oriented approach we believed in.

With the creation of the Wealth Optimization Program™ in 2000, Lindsay Financial took a big step forward. By offering a systemized method of long-term financial planning, we offered our high-net-worth clients a proven structure for achieving their personal and financial goals.

Today, Lindsay Financial serves a select group of 75 high-net-worth clients, offering comprehensive financial planning and long-term wealth preservation. This intense focus has allowed us to improve service levels, boost the quality of our product offerings, and strengthen existing client relationships. It's a model that works well, both for our clients and for our team.

We look forward to welcoming 15-20 new client families a year until we reach our capacity of 200 client families.
